Background:
Coming from a long line of purebloods and mixed bloods, Rosmerta is the first of the family to become a Hufflepuff. Her relative’s have all been distributed between Ravenclaw and Slytherin evenly. Several of her distant cousins can be linked to very undesirable behavior, as per practicing the dark arts.

Her mother is a Gypsy her father is a Wizard.

Her parents (Both Ravenclaws) are entrepreneurs, and have recently ventured into the pub business and have opened a small place called "The Three Broomsticks” with partner Shannon Quelch. Rosmerta spends her summers helping out with the family business and vacationing with her aunts who live near Lake Como in northern Italy.

Born and raised by her father to love everybody and prove that even 'Mezzo-naturales’ can be just as powerful as any pure blood gypsy.


The Gypsies
Known for their wild outlandishness, Gypsies are nomads. Stopping and staying very rarely, they are very often secluded and disliked. Often the young are home schooled, although there are some known gypsy schools throughout Europe. There are a few small colonies that stay in one spot sprinkled all over Italy, as well as throughout the world. Gypsies are natural magic makers. They need little training and require no wand. Half Gypsies have some of the same attributes but can be trained to work as a witch or wizard if she or he desires.

In recent, many colonies have been drifting to a new power by that is beginning to collect followers. They speak hushed of him, as many of the gypsy’s don’t agree with his plans.

Rosmerta's clan is split on this new power, her family being one of the ones becoming divided. Her mother thinks this new wave will be an awesome and regenerating thing for the world, her father is completely against it. Rosmerta reserves judgment and has yet to decide what she thinks of this.
